WASHINGTON, D.C. — Georgetown men's basketball suffered a 76-60 loss to Marquette on February 24 at Capital One Arena, dropping another BIG EAST matchup as the regular season continued.

The Hoyas entered halftime trailing 40-35 but struggled to keep pace in the second half. Marquette used a strong offensive performance after the break to extend its lead and eventually secure the 16-point victory.

Georgetown's Vince Iwuchukwu led the team with 19 points and seven rebounds, while Isaiah Abraham added 13 points. However, the Hoyas struggled from beyond the three-point line, making just four of their 25 attempts.

Marquette was led by freshman guard Nigel James Jr., who finished with 20 points, six rebounds and six assists. Adrien Stevens added 16 points, helping the Golden Eagles secure their first road win of the season.

The loss dropped Georgetown to 13-15 overall and 5-12 in BIG EAST play. The Hoyas will look to bounce back when they travel to Cincinnati to face Xavier on February 28.

With the regular season nearing its conclusion, Georgetown will look to regroup and finish the season on a stronger note.
